Hey friends, I’m Anna Valdman and have recently completed my first year at UT pursuing a BFA in Dance! This is personally, the first blog post I’ve ever written and it’s all pretty new to me. So hold on tight while I try to work my way through this. We’re all aware of the current pandemic and personally I think that COVID-19 has had enough time as the star of the show and it’s time to focus on some other things. Currently, all I want to focus on are the things I’ve been obsessing over during quarantine. Selfish right?

First obsession: Sherlock Holmes. The Complete Works of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle? Amazing. The BBC show “Sherlock” (Which you can stream on Netflix)? Brilliant. Sherlock Holmes? Extraordinary. World’s Greatest Detective? Sherlock Holmes. Next.

Reading. Who knew I would become so obsessed with books and reading? Not me. I don’t really enjoy television shows or movies BUT reading? That’s my cup of tea. One week, I read six books in three days and that was me at my prime. A book recommendation that I’m dying to tell you is, “The Naturals” by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. *Chef’s Kiss*

Also, I have been in love with music as I’ve always been and would like to drop a few of the songs that have been my quarantine beat. Killer Whale by Boyscott, Amour Plastique by Videoclub, Classy Girls (B Version) by The Lumineers, and the artist Ritt Momney.

Lastly, I’ve been social distancing with my best friends. One of my besties has been forcing me to expand my horizons with movies. I do have to say, I discovered a new movie that I’m OBSESSED with, but that conversation is for another time.

Thanks for reading along and I hope one of my obsessions can become of yours.

P.S. Season 16 of grey’s Anatomy has been released and let me tell you, two days and lots of crying is all I have to say on that.

Laters Baby, Anna Valdman
