Heyy! I’m Hanna, a second-year B.F.A. Dance major and Business minor! I knew college was going to be a rollercoaster, but BOY did I not see this coming! Even though this is not how I “meticulously” planned out the end of my sophomore year, so much good has come out of these unexpected times. Quarantine has given me the time to reflect on what’s most important to me and cherish all the memories I have made thus far.
I have loved being back home and spending time with my family, which I really needed. We have been experimenting with new recipes (YAY FOOD) and watching The Curse of Oak Island. 10/10 recommend. Seeing my pups and cats every day makes me soo happy. Although, they do drive me ABSOLUTELY NUTS all the time! To keep me busy... not that school doesn’t already do that... I have started running, improvising in new spaces, making Tik Toks, and baking lots of sweet treats! Back in Austin, my roommates and I used to make muffins every week and eat them within like 2 days! But now... I can FINALLY have them all to myself and eat them in one sitting! LOL!
Also, I have reached a HUGE milestone during quarantine. I BEAT TEEN MOTHERHOOD!!!!! I TURNED 20!! I am officially old! To celebrate, I threw my own zoom party where we dressed up as ICONIC frat boys. CHAD, BRAD, and of course THAD! Even though this wasn’t the birthday I had planned, it has exceeded my expectations. I had soo much fun on my special day, and I am so thankful that I got to celebrate with the people I love the most!!
I am incredibly blessed to have such amazing family and friends to guide me through these crazy times. Even if we’re MILES and MILES and MILES apart (pls understand my HSM3 reference hehe)! I can’t wait to be back in Austin and see everyone again! I hope all of you stay safe, happy, and healthy!!
