Hey! I’m Khorii Tinson, some call me Skip, and I'm a fourth year Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography major at UT. Pretty excited to be on your Leadership Board this year and will be co-coordinating events with my very good sis Myrah Porter, our Event Coordinator.
This summer has been one of my favorite summers. To kick it off, I (sadly) left my Husky babe, Nova, with a friend and took off to Cambridge, England in a Maymester studying the UK education system for 4 weeks. After that, I went on a little vacation to Amsterdam with my lovely girly friend, Hypatia. Upon coming back to Austin, I mostly clocked in and out of Starbucks and got in the studio to prepare for my next adventure.
In August, I got to go back to my alumni dance studio in North Carolina and participate in an intensive workshop where alumnus who are actively in the dance world teach class and set some work on the competition teams. It was so amazing being able to see my friends who are dancing with Giordonno, successfully freelancing in New York/LA/Chicago, excelling in school and leading one of the up and coming coolest hip hop teams in Wilmington… being around successful dancers who put their hearts into their crafts every day was beautiful, and I learned so much from all of them.
