Hey! My name is Madelyn Manlove, and I am a third year BFA Dance major and kinesiology minor at the University of Texas at Austin. For the Dance Action Board, I am on your Production Team alongside Atticus Griffin. I am from San Antonio, Texas and I love to travel!

One of my many excursions this summer takes place in New York City. I had the wonderful opportunity to attend Sidra Bell’s MODULE program this past week.  This experience working with Sidra Bell has been such a compelling and interesting way to learn and grow with your peers around you. There were around 40 people in the program from all over the world. There was even a woman from Finland! It was great having so many talented dancers to pull from and observe throughout the session. It has been a treat to be able to dance with each and every one of them! Constantly pushing the boundaries and stepping outside of our boxes each day made it exciting to come back each morning!

Although I did dance quite a bunch, my friend Avery and I would always make time to get and eat some good food, which usually ended up being sushi. One day we walked 20,000 steps and ended up walking from 14th street all the way to 53rd street, I honestly have no idea how we did it. If anybody is looking for a great summer or winter program, MODULE is the one!
